By creating a FlyAlong account I acknowledge and agree that:
- 1.
I am ultimately responsible for meeting all FAA requirements of my pilot certificate, including but not limited to:- •Day and night landing currency (14 CFR 61.57)
- •Medical certification
- •Flight review currency (14 CFR 61.56)
- •All applicable airworthiness, weather, and operational regulations
- 2.
Any expense sharing with passengers will be limited to pro rata shares of fuel, oil, airport expenditures, and aircraft rental fees, in accordance with 14 CFR 61.113(c) and FAA Advisory Circular 61-142. I will pay no less than my pro rata share, I will not profit, and all other costs — such as maintenance, insurance, and depreciation — are mine alone.
- 3.
Each flight I share will be a trip I am taking for my own reasons. I choose the destination and have my own purpose for going, and I would make the trip even if no one shared the expenses. I will not fly solely to transport others, and I understand that routinely offering the same route to whoever wants it can itself be considered “holding out.”
- 4.
I will share flights only with a small, defined group of people with whom I have an ongoing, pre-existing relationship — family, friends, and close acquaintances, not loose acquaintances or the general public. I will only approve followers I personally know, and I will not post my FlyAlong profile link on public forums or social media, or share it with strangers.
- 5.
I am responsible for my own liability and insurance coverage, including verifying that my aircraft insurance policy covers carrying non-paying passengers under personal/private use.
- 6.
FlyAlong is a private coordination tool — not a charter service, not a marketplace, and not a transactional platform. FlyAlong does not match me with passengers, does not handle payments, and does not make any contractual commitments on my behalf.
